Karen Wells
Head Teacher -- 2's

Karen grew up in Idaho Falls and has worked at Best Friends for two years.  She is the lead teacher in the Bear (2's) classroom.  She has her BS in Child Development from BYU-I and minor in Recreation Leadership.  She has been married for two years and has a daughter who was born in February 2010.  She likes hiking, camping, horseback riding, photography, crocheting, reading, singing, trumpet, and playing games.  Her favorite thing about playing with kids is that they say and do the darndest things.  She has something new to smile about everyday.  It's also fun to watch then grasp new concepts.

Dream Vacation:  Scotland, Australia or Italy
Favorite Movie:  Phantom of the Oprah
Favorite Color:  Blue
Favorite Childhood Memory:  Playing Oregon Trail in an old potato field down the street from my house.  We would pack lunches of cheese sandwiches and pull an old bike buggy down there.  My dog was a horse or cow.  We could spend all day out in the field no matter what season.  There was always some new adventure out there!


Erin Winings
Two's Classroom

Erin is from Pleasant Grove, Utah and has worked at Best Friends for two years.  She is finishing her Bachelors in FCHD (emphasis on early childhood development) in Spring 2011.  She has worked with worked as a nanny for different families before starting at Best Friends.  She was married to her husband, Jared, in August 2009.  She likes to back back, hike, run, go camping, and traveling.  Her favorite thing about kids is their funny comments and reactions to everyday things, as well as their love for learning.
